That’s what Mario and Franco Berra knew. But when Mario and Franco, founders of Coffee MIO came to Australia in the fifties, there was almost nowhere to buy great coffee, and very few cafés who knew how to create it either. Australia’s thriving café society was still a dream.

So they decided to bring fabulous coffee to their new home. To the delight of people who loved REAL coffee, who had come to Australia from all over the world, Coffee MIO began in Melbourne.

These days, Coffee MIO is a leading brand in Australia and overseas. Coffee is all we do, and we do it superbly. Edmund Maier along with Mario’s son Frank, own and manage the business. The company has the very latest technology to run its roasting and packaging equipment, and smart systems that ensure customers from around the world, with large and small businesses, can buy the top quality coffee beans, coffee machines and coffee products they want, when they want them.

Coffee MIO’s coffee beans come from exotic-sounding places like Brazil, Kenya, Colombia, Costa Rica, Jamaica and the Ivory Coast, just to name a few. What’s special about Coffee MIO is our talent for blending the best coffee beans to create flavours that delight.

Many of our clients are cafés and restaurants. We remember our roots as a small business, and pride ourselves on providing personal service to our many café and restaurant clients, while being large enough to efficiently fill the largest interstate or international order. Our blends, specifically designed for use in espresso machines, are the choice of thousands of cafés and restaurants throughout Australia.

Coffee For Retailers

We roast, grind and vacuum pack Coffee MIO to achieve maximum shelf life, in package sizes to suit every store and customer demand. We sell a whole range of ground coffees, coffee beans and supplies, for use in the latest automatic coffee machines, in coffee plungers, stovetop coffee brewers or coffee dripolators. Of course we also create special blends for Private Labels.
