Prep Traditional Washed, fermented and sun dried.
Tarrazu Volcanic Hot Springs coffee comes from
cherries picked at the peak of harvest.
These are then processed in San Diego Mill,
taking advantage of the latest technology available.
The uniqueness of the coffee flows from the use of
thermal water from volcanic hot springs during the
fermentation stage, in which water temperature is
closely monitored to guarantee the coffees special
The Poás, Irazu and Barva volcanoes, emblematic to
Costa Rica’s scenery, can be seen towering over the
traditional coffee plantations areas of the Central
Valley. It is from these Volcanoes that thermal
waters spring from, and which give Tarrazu Hot
Springs coffee its characteristic flavor: Full bodied
with ripe, fruity notes. Spicy flavours of pepper and
blackcurrant, complemented by a pleasant, citrus tang.
