Welichu Wachu draws on wet and natural processed coffee from a
number of coffee growing zones such as Hanku, Harsu Sala, Harsu
Haro muda (Muda Tatesa), Yabitu Koba (Haro Lebetu).
All the coffees from one of the 36 grower co-operatives, each farmer
cultivating coffee in whatʼs known locally as ‘coffee gardens.ʼ Each
farmer grows roughly 1000 to 1800 trees per hectare, the plants are
mostly fertilised with organic material and intercroped with various
food crops.
The Natural coffees undergo laborious hand sorting to remove green
or under ripe cherries before being spread on the drying tables 4-5 cm
deep. The drying cherries are raked and ridged hourly and like the
parchment, covered during the midday heat.
After drying for 10 – 12 days, a handful of dried cherries should produce
a rattling sound when shaken. The final test is that the weight of a
sample of coffee is the same for two consecutive days

Our courier of choice is either Sendle or Australia Post, which means that you should expect to receive your order within 2-4 working days. Keeping in mind
that we are in central Melbourne, so any orders to be delivered to regional areas or interstate may take a wee bit longer to arrive on your doorstep. All parcels are sent as Authority to Leave, so no signature is required (sorry, no
autograph requests for you).

FREIGHT COSTS
Shipping is on us for any order over $60.
Orders under $60 will incur a $10 flat shipping cost, automatically added at checkout.
Australia Express Post shipping service is also available at a flat rate of $15 for those that need to get their coffee ASAP.

Unfortunately, at this stage we are unable to deliver to PO boxes, so please enter a residential address at checkout.
